Why is Safari not updating topsides in Yosemite?

hi I'm just posting as I've a problem with safari 8 in yosimte not updating topsides theres just nothing there and when there is its the bbc news site and frequently visited on the address bar only shows one site bbc news ,its been like this since the upgrade ,if any one can suggest anything to try plz?

Try a reboot or logout of and then log back in to iCloud. As you can see via the screenshot, Top Sites populate for me on my MacBook (early 2009 model) running OS X Yosemite.

yes thanks that is the same as what i have now but they never update ,its been a few days but new sites are not added,thanks for you reply

hi does the top sites page in safari still update in yosemite as it did in mavericks or has this feature been removed ? because mine has never done it ,I've just the stock sites there
