Yosemite and the Crashing 2010 MacBook

I have a 2010 unibody (white) MacBook that was running fine under Mavericks. I installed the first developer preview of Yosemite and all was well. But the last two releases have caused the MB to crash when waking up from sleep.

I have reported the issue to Apple along with the requisite logs and doc. However, I am wondering if this is somehow indicative of a hardware issue or if it?s actually related to the Yosemite code.

Any thoughts? And idea how to rule out one or the other cause?

Maybe it's just due to it being a preview version and not the full build yet?

It?s starting to look like a coincidental memory failure. I replaced the 8GB of RAM with spare 4GB RAM, and the crashes went away. Of course, with only half the memory on an old machine, the effect is obvious. Thankfully, OWC has a lifetime warranty on their memory. Now it?s a matter of waiting for the replacement RAM to arrive.

Try rebooting to reset the pram, hold down command-control-p-r at the same time. Hopefully that might help.
