Re: Safari 7.1.3 HTML5 video support
Still does not answer my query. I KNOW you can choose the resolutions by going to the setting on the bottom right of a video window. With flash player (220.127.116.116) you can choose up to 4k resolution if the video was shot and uploaded in 4k. However, Safari 7 does not support HTML5 video out of the box. You can go to www(dot)youtube(dot)com/html5 to select it as the default player, which once set, allows you to playback youtube videos using HTML5 instead of flash player. Currently on Safari 7.0.6 the max resolution supported is 720p (even if the video was shot and uploaded in 4k). With Safari 7.1.3, Apple is asking developers to concentrate on extension compatibility, Password AutoFill and HTML5 video playback for "popular video sites." This is why I'm curious if Safari 7.1.3 supports HTML5 video playback higher than 720p. Hope I made myself clear as to what I'm asking.
