Well since Apple is holding an event on October 23 that includes updates to the Macmini, here is my thought on this seeing that the least talked about Mac is the Pro:

Well since Apple is continuing to update the Macmini now with the Ivy Bridge processor, USB 3.0 what does this mean about the configuration. Will we now see Apple make the maximum amount of RAM be 16GB rather than 8GB, change the Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor with 288MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory to AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR5 memory or even better yet a Nvidia chipset, change the default hard drive from 5400-RPM to 7200-rpm spindle based, install 4GB of RAM standard in the low end configuration instead of 2GB of RAM standard. Since there is uncertainty among the Apple community about the future of the MacPro tower, would it not be in the best interest for Apple to include a dedicated video card, faster spinning RPM HD and more available memory since what are those working architectural drafting/scientific industry using programs such as AutoCAD, Mathematica, MathCAD, Microstation, Maya, Modo 601 from Luxology, audio/music industry using programs such as Apple Logic Studio, Pro Tools, Reason, Video/Movie making industry using Apple Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere CS6 going to do. I have seen gargantuan files of terabyte in size that do require more memory, video and cores. Think about this why don't you Apple. Please for all of us that have supported you all throughout the decades since the Macintosh Plus in 1984.
