i upgraded to OS x10.11.1 and then Outlook won't launch

i upgraded to OS x10.11.1 and then i downloaded the microsoft patch to fix the Outlook hanging problem and now Outlook won't open at all. All the other microsoft office mac 2011 products open but not outlook. can you assist me with this problem?i have deinstalled and reinstalled my office mac2011 home and business and it is still not working. Outlook will not launch.

My licence etc is all valid.

Can you please help?

That sounds weird...Open Outlook > check for updates and make sure all updates have been installed.

Do a restart.
