I have opened the sidebar as directed, but my iPhoto folders are not there - how can I locate them?

I have just upgraded to El Capitan and iPhotos has automatically been replaced with Photos, somehow mislaying all my folders and events of photos: the side bar does not show them, Please help! Thank you - Pip

Welcome to iMore! You should be able to click on the box in at the top of the window, directly in the center, and select "albums".
