I thought this was pretty cool, this amazing, luxurious super yacht is controlled by iPads!

Every passenger gets an iPad handed to them when they board the ship that they keep for the entire duration. Only 850,000 USD a week!! I think TiPb should rent this for a week for a TiPb getaway for a few members. haha

While I don't actually control the ship with my iPad, I do run the iNavx app as a handheld chart plotter and back-up GPS. On my boat I use the iPad enclosed in a clear ziplock bag to waterproof it. The touch screen works well thru the plastic. It's an amazing device at sea.

Also the App called Star Walk is awesome at twilight for tracking passing satellites including the ISS - International Space Station.
