iPhone apps are churning out like crazy. The iPad apps...not so much. I almost feel like the iPad has been a bit abandoned.
JHamilton put it the right way. Its the quality of apps. Its the apps that I WANT and YOU want. Seems like most (at least to me) are junk. I could make a very large list of apps on my iPhone 4 that are excellent and must haves. My iPad list is VERY short.
I think that part of the problem is iOS4. I hope that when the iPhone and the iPad are on the same operating system, that will unlock a backlog of apps for both.
But not if they use any of the APIs that are unique to iOS4. The point is that iif one wishes to publish a universal app that exploits iOS4, one is waiting. If one has published an app that exploits iOS4, it is not available on the iPad.The universal apps work fine on both whether iPad 3 or iPhone 4
