3G service outside of the US ?

Dos anyone have any information how the iPad will work when leaving the US?
Can the ATT service work overseas or do I need to get a micro-sim card of a carrier in the country I am in?

You can roam outside the US, just like on your cell phone. It will cost you an arm and a leg. Seriously. As to getting a micro-sim of another carrier, who knows if the iPad is locked or not....(or if any other carrier even offers a micro-sim!).

I believe Jobs said the iPads were not locked in the keynote. You should be able to use any GSM 3G carrier that supports the micro-sim that the iPad will use.
