Default 1st gen iPad to Mini

I have a 1st gen iPad and am looking at a mini. Would this be an upgrade or just a shrunken screen.

Default 1st gen iPad to Mini

Def a upgrade, I think it's even a upgrade from the ipad2 after that when it comes to the 3 then people are giving up better screen and processor for size so no longer a upgrade but a matter of preference! But I'd say def do it from the first gen ,soon apps and stuff won't even be compatible with that, apple no longer even sells it

I did this recently. I had a 1 since just after it came out and never upgraded. I just got a mini and really like it. I am noticing the faster speed when using/opening apps and browsing the most but it's an improvement overall.
