It's a chilly 84 degrees right now, in Nokomis, Fl.

96 outside and 78 inside. Thank GOD the temperature is triple digits like the past few days. Having said that, even with the triple digit heat, it's still not as sticky & suffocating like back home in Orlando.

100 outside but 60 degrees inside. I have an industrial air conditioning so I get to keep my wool blanket. I like Summer because that's when my house is freezing. I'm sipping hot tea right now.

I grew up in Indiana... many days of temps in mid-90s with 80-90% humidity.

And re: dry heat: so is my oven - the chicken still gets cooked.

Currently, it's 83. Our high for the day is supposed to be 101 with a heat index of anywhere from 110-115.

It's gonna be a long, hot summer. If I had a soul, I'd owe it to the power company but you know how gingers are.
