If it is where the contact photos is suppose to go then I can only assume your wife downloaded the Apple logo and inserted them to distinguish between her friends with iPhones and those without.

Sorry yea when I get home. I copied and pasted but it won't show up. It's in the suffix field. It just shows up for her. Driving me crazy.

Ok I was able to replicate it. Maybe not the way your wifes phone is but it works. Copy this  and paste it as the last character in the last name field in your contacts. Other than that I'm stumped.

Maybe it's part of the contacts name from another address book that supports special characters? Something from outlook or the like? I've never seen this either but I have seen similar things with contacts in windows.

Just curious but why would a obvious issue i'm having with iPhone OS be moved to the lounge where it most likely won't be seen by many people? I do understand at first I pl;aced it in the wrong forum.

In case you haven't figured it out yet there's an app that figures out who has iPhone's and puts that logo next to their name. Can't remember what app it was but that's how I did it.
