That almost happened to me today. Until I showed the cop my ID and then he said sorry for bothering you and let me go.

That's retarded. You know whats worse? They use the scare tactic of "if you didnt do anything wrong, youll let me see your phone" but its all within your right to refuse that. And worst part of it all is that if you dont have a witness, they'll charge you with something that didnt actually happen.
