I'd take the red one personally. :) It's dual purpose; it fits the theme of my gaming site, and it also matches the theme of my girlfriend's college. :D Hard to beat that!

Figure I'll toss my hat in the ring. :) It's been really neat to watch Apple go from making a product that people opening mocked on release (large iPod Touch, anyone?) that has now made it's own market, one that people are (again, like the iPhone) trying to catch up to, and is actively stealing...

Had this issue and swapped out my phone tonight. At first it was there, but has gone away on the new one in a few hours use? Kinda weird. I'll be keeping an eye on this. The 3GS I have had since launch is 100% solid, no wiggle.

FYI, you can do all of that, but instead of clicking send as email, hold your finger down on the pic, and a pop up will come to let you copy it. Then, go back to the email in-progress, and paste it in there. Not sure if anyone else posted this, but wanted to throw it out there if not.

Not sure about the TurboSIM thing, but my best guess would be to: Upgrade to 3.0 IPSW (stock) to get the latest exploitable BB and jailbreak. Download PwnageTool 3.1.4, build a custom 3.1.2 IPSW to avoid Baseband update. Install ultrasn0w via Cydia Viola, upgraded, jailbroken and unlocked. :)

This happens occasionally (even on normal phones). Just reboot your phone, it should fix it. :)

Who are you trying to use as your carrier?

All I can say to all of these posts is wow, wow, wow.... I see you posted you have an iPhone 2G (original iPhone). Is this the case? If so: 1. Download blackra1n (blackra1n) and jailbreak your phone 2. Install Cydia 3. Install bootneuter Downgrade your BB and unlock and you're good to go...

Cydia is the de facto standard. If you're unfamiliar with them, I'd go with that one. The other two use the same subsystem for managing packages (apt, comes from Debian) and supposedly work together, but I've had the most luck with Cydia personally. Also, Cydia managers your ECID SHSH blobs...

You can downgrade if your ECID SHSH blobs are on-file with Cydia. But if your phone came OOB with 3.1, then downgrading to 3.0 isn't possible right now. You need the signed files from Apple.

1. No one has any idea when this will happen (unlock on 3.1 BB) 2. There's no way to downgrade the BB. 3.0 doesn't include the BB in the IPSW, so even if you could downgrade to 3.0, it wouldn't downgrade the BB. So no, there's no way to unlock currently.

I say give it a shot and let us know. :) Worse comes to worse, you restore to 3.1.2 and JB it that way. But in theory, it's supposed to work.

Your normal apps will sync just fine, but it does not backup jailbroken apps or their data.
