    Fast charging

Have you tried a fast charger on iPhone? Get a USB-C PD that delivers 18W from Amazon and a USB-C to lightning cable. If the battery is below 70%, the iPhone will use the higher voltage to rapid charge. It mat not be as fast as Samsung but it’s pretty fast. This one is perfect for iPhone...

    noise canceling buds or headphones?

FYI, I THINK the QC 25 is being discontinued. I've noticed that Bose no longer lists it as product, it's harder to find online, and Amazon appears to be clearing it out as they are on sale right now. I just picked up two pairs for my wife and kid so you can still get them for now. The reason...

Will you still get the iPhone 8 if it ends up costing $1400?!

I think the rumors might have missed something. They may sell exclusively 256GB or 256 & 512, but price is $100 or $200 higher than 7S+. So a 7S+ 256GB is $969, then 8 would be $1069 for 256GB, Just not sell a $969 or $869 model. There's your $1000 iPhone. Or maybe round up to $1100 for...

How do you justify an iDevice to an audiophile?

"Sounds better" does not necessarily equal more accurate reproduction of the original sound. Vynil has noise where digital doesn't but that doesn't mean it doesn't still sound better despite that, also digital has no noise but doesn't necessarily sound better.

How do you justify an iDevice to an audiophile?

"Truly lossless?" All lossless is truly lossless. Yes WAV is truly uncompressed but lossless is lossless. Therefore to answer my own question, any lossless codec is going to reproduce the original sound 100% bit for bit. That's what lossless is, no loss of any data. Unless there is something...

How do you justify an iDevice to an audiophile?

Is Apple lossless inferior to FLAC and WAV somehow? I understand the inconvenience of re-encoding everything, though. But I've done it for a few tracks in the past.

Would you consider a bigger iPhone?

I just did the same (4S to the 6.) Looking at the 4S now does seem microscopic. I love the physical size and design of the 4S but man thats a tiny screen. I feel like I can breathe on the 6.

I completely misjudged the purpose of the iphone 5C

I think that was the rumored purpose of the 5C, but it appears that it was totally misreported. It's obvious that Apple's strategy has not changed at all. It has always been to drop the previous 2 year's models by $100 and $200 respectively and this year is no different except that they put...

Has there ever been less of a reason to upgrade?

Processor is 2X faster GPU is faster Added fingerprint sensor Improved camera 64 bit processor More (the most) LTE bands Added/improved LED flash Are screen size and external body the only things that count as "major" updates? I mean they already have LTE, they can't add 5G this year. They...

Would you consider a bigger iPhone?

I think I'd prefer a slightly larger phone between 4.3 and 4.7. I don't know exactly. Absolutely not as large as the Note. I see people carrying those around and they look ludicrous to me in terms of a "pocketable phone." I understand the use case for a portable tablet which is what it is...

Will Charging My iPhone 5 w/Nokia USB charger Damage It?

Re: iphone 5 battery The iPad is compatible with the iPhone 5W charger. It will charge perfectly fine, it will just do so much more slowly (at most 1/2 the speed.) An iPad uses up to 2 amps and the iPhone charger is 1 Amp. The iPhone and iPad will work with any and all USB chargers but...

    Charging iPhone with iPad Charger

I recently ran a bunch of tests and confirmed that the iPhone will draw the same exact amount of power on either the iPhone or iPad USB charging adapters. The iPhone limits it's intake to 1 amp, so using an iPad charger won't cause any problem. Since the iPad and iPhone chargers are the same...
