Agreed, this book covers some gaps in the Apple tutorials, IMHO. Some basic XCode and Obj-C reference helps, but a lot of the devils in the details I've stumbled upon at dev blogs, dev forums...
I've waited 10 days, and other times it was more like 5 days. I think it's highly dependent on rush dates, ie pre-Christmas and pre-Valentines I'm sure there were elevated numbers of apps submitted.
Agreed. Price it at what you think is the honest fair value. I initially posted an app at $.99 and received a lot of flak once I added features and raised it to $1.99
Agreed...it's an unfortunate blemish in the App Store and is taking up a high profile position in the sales ranks while not particularly contributing to the evolution of mobile software.
I'm not sure if Apple will allow pay-to-upgrade presently, but I think most developers would fear the backlash from consumers, even in the face of significant improvements to an app.
My phone before the iPhone had great audio-note capabilities - it seems odd that a basic recorder wasn't included with the iPhone! Great to see the alternatives out there, however.
