Buggy here as well. Handoff between iPhone 6 plus and 2014 Macbook pro retina is intermittent at best. No combination of rebooting, logging in/out of iCloud, etc. seems to have an impact consistently. It just works when it wants to :-(. Sometimes I'm surprised to see the icon in the finder...
