Mine as well. The amount varies wildly. I also am curious about why phone has a few days of usage when it was supposed to be new!

What carrier do you have? I have sprint which includes unlimited mobile - mobile and unlimited texts, but it sounds like you're talking about something different.

I want to echo the suggestion to try a different charger and charging cable. if you're not even getting a charging symbol, this sounds more likely to be a charger or cable issue than a battery issue. Alternatively, you could take a look at the charging port. Perhaps one of the pins isn't lining...
