I'm experiencing this issue as well. Going to try the iTunes restore today when o get some time.

How do you figure? Even if I take MobileMe out of the equation, any birthday attached to an Outlook contact would be duplicated.

Ran across my first iOS4 annoyance today and yeah, it's pretty minor. My phone syncs with MobileMe and my employers Exchange server. If I have a birthday set for a contact in Outlook (Exchange) it gets duplicated in my iPhone calendar if I choose to display the birthday calendars. So you're...

I don't know the answer to your question, but I just wanted to say that alert settings for events I have in Outlook carry over to my iPhone and I get event reminders just fine on my phone. I wonder if turning off calendar sync and then turning it back on would correct this?
