Just to follow up on this: the Modern Buckle bands are available for online order as of today (August 14, 2015).

I don't play a lot of games, but I had fun with Lifeline for a few days. It makes unique use of the Watch.

OK, thanks -- I was just wondering why that band was the only one still not available for purchase (supply issues? too many returns because of sizing errors?) and thought someone here might have heard something on the rumor mill.

I have a _white_ sport band, in addition to a Milanese loop. I wear the sport band for exercise and weekends (so it gets wet, sweaty, etc.) Over the past 5 weeks or so, it has curved a bit to the shape of my wrist, but the color and finish look pristine -- no peeling and no polished areas...

Double-click the side button, then hold the watch up to the payment terminal, and it should work. First time I tried it I didn't know to double-click the button and nothing happened.

My understanding is that the ApplePay information is stored on a secure chip in the Watch, independent of the iPhone (which is why you had to enter your cards separately into Passbook on the Watch). So yes, ApplePay works on the Watch without its paired iPhone.

My understanding is that the faces that light up the fewest pixels are the most energy-efficient. So, for long battery life, I would choose the Simple or Utility face with the level of detail turned down low, and only those complications that I felt I needed for that day.

Update: when I took off my Watch with Milanese loop tonight, I tried setting it on its side in the "Nightstand mode" orientation. Although the loop doesn't make a nice circle like the other bands, I'm happy to report that it does hold the watch in the Nightstand position very well. A stand...
