Modern Buckle band still unavailable to order?

Just to follow up on this: the Modern Buckle bands are available for online order as of today (August 14, 2015).

What do you do on your  Watch that is different (and cool)?

I don't play a lot of games, but I had fun with Lifeline for a few days. It makes unique use of the Watch.

Modern Buckle band still unavailable to order?

OK, thanks -- I was just wondering why that band was the only one still not available for purchase (supply issues? too many returns because of sizing errors?) and thought someone here might have heard something on the rumor mill.

Modern Buckle band still unavailable to order?

I was thinking of buying a Modern Buckle band as an additional band for my 38mm SS Watch. But all colors and sizes of Modern Buckle are still listed as "Currently Unavailable" for shipping in the Apple Store under Watch Accessories / Bands. It does appear that the Watch with Modern Buckle...

    Black Sport Band Wearing Quickly

I have a _white_ sport band, in addition to a Milanese loop. I wear the sport band for exercise and weekends (so it gets wet, sweaty, etc.) Over the past 5 weeks or so, it has curved a bit to the shape of my wrist, but the color and finish look pristine -- no peeling and no polished areas...

    Black Sport Band Wearing Quickly

I agree -- and I'd like to add that different pigments have different weights. The white is likely something relatively heavy, like titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. The black is probably carbon black, which is very light and fluffy (think ashes). The colors could be modern synthetic organic...

    Apple Watch & Apple Pay

Double-click the side button, then hold the watch up to the payment terminal, and it should work. First time I tried it I didn't know to double-click the button and nothing happened.

How is the battery life on your Apple Watch?

I've had my watch for almost 6 weeks now. The battery drained quickly on the first day -- this seems to be common, as reflected in the early reviews. But after a couple of charge cycles, battery life improved dramatically. I generally put the Watch on at about 6 AM. When I return it to its...

    Apple pay and passcode

My understanding is that the ApplePay information is stored on a secure chip in the Watch, independent of the iPhone (which is why you had to enter your cards separately into Passbook on the Watch). So yes, ApplePay works on the Watch without its paired iPhone.

What's the most efficient watch face?

My understanding is that the faces that light up the fewest pixels are the most energy-efficient. So, for long battery life, I would choose the Simple or Utility face with the level of detail turned down low, and only those complications that I felt I needed for that day.

    Apple pay and passcode

Locking the Watch when you take it off seems like a necessary security measure to me. Othewise, when you take off your Watch, anyone could just pick it up and use it to spend your money. If you don't like typing a code on the tiny screen, unlocking the Watch with TouchID on your iPhone is...

Apps not installed on Apple Watch get autmatically installed if an app is updated on iPhone

There's a thread on this issue in the Apple Watch Apps sub-forum. Yes, it has happened to me too, with certain apps (NY TImes Cooking, one airline app, etc.)

Will You Be Returning Your Watch?

I'm an unusual case -- I've had my Watch for about 5 weeks now, but I got my first smartphone (an iPhone, of course) just about 5 weeks before that. I certainly like the Watch-and-iPhone combination better than I liked the iPhone alone. Notifications with a tap on the wrist are so much more...

New Bedside Clock mode in WatchOS2...

Update: when I took off my Watch with Milanese loop tonight, I tried setting it on its side in the "Nightstand mode" orientation. Although the loop doesn't make a nice circle like the other bands, I'm happy to report that it does hold the watch in the Nightstand position very well. A stand...
