Hard or not - replacing a home button

Yep. If you've never worked on an iphone before you should be aware that there are many delicate components you'll be in direct contact with before you even get to the home button. You could end up with a lot more problems than your home button giving you trouble now and then. That being said...

iPhone 4 earpiece speaker really low after screen replacement

Definitely a good idea to check for plastic films. A few other things to look for are broken shards of glass, adhesive and dirt that could be obstructing the ear speaker. On some aftermarket digitizers the dust screens are more tightly meshed than what comes with OEM parts, which could be...

Iphone 4s replacement screen wont fit

If the pic on the left is your old screen I hate to break it to you, but you don't have an iPhone 4S. You have a Verizon iPhone 4, which is why the tension hooks are situated differently in the display assembly you purchased. You can take the frame from the old display assembly, and transfer it...

    Any idea where this goes?

This is the signal extender clip that makes contact with the back of the case to improve signal. This is for the AT&T iPhone 4 only, and it resides next to the battery just under the battery contact, and the screw that holds the battery down also passes through the loop on the clip in question...

Is an iPhone 4 with a bad ESN worth anything?

You could sell it to a iPhone repair company for parts. That's about it. Always use checkesnfree.com for CDMA phones before buying.

How many people would get the Samsung GS3 if the next iPhone doesn't come out soon

Absolutely wouldn't. The iOS vs android debate doesn't even come into it. It is outrageously expensive to repair Samsung phones. Just the display assembly is often over $200. You drop it once and your carrier unzips their pants.

Best Browser for iPhone: Chrome vs Safari vs Dolphin?

Hmm, haven't checked out new Safari or iOS6b either for that matter. A better browser + OS integration would be amazing.

Best Browser for iPhone: Chrome vs Safari vs Dolphin?

After Google's recent release of Chrome, the iOS browser marketplaces is starting to really get competitive. Chrome is nice, but the iPhone version feels a little unpolished. And no option for fullscreen/no auto hide URL search on scroll makes me want to stick with Dolphin. Out of the 3 (or...

Please Help Troubleshoot DYI iPhone 4 Repair

For future reference: the iPhone 4 and 4S use the exact same LCD and digitizer, just the plastic frame is different. If you accidentally order the 4 or 4S just heat up the frame with a blow drier and peel it off. Peel the new frame from the new LCD (should be easy, they tend to use weak...

    Replacement battery

I've tried a few of the larger capacity batteries and they're usually garbage, just go stock and avoid using apps monetized by ads to save battery life.

    Dust damn!

The glass/digitizer and the LCD panel are fused when the phone is being assembled, so there's no way the dust infiltrated due to regular use etc. I'd take it in to apple, they'll most likely give you a replacement.
