I really just want to upgrade because of the speed. Waiting for my 3G to do menial tasks like launch messages is like torture it takes upwards of 10 seconds sometimes.

"google" is a bad one. Other than that, if you use your own name or like a pet name that fails.

I am using Gmail IMAP, unfortunately without push. I would like to have it so my inbox is not always full. The mail app on iPhone downloads all of the messages it can at once and once they get deleted it keeps downloading more. What I am wondering is if it is possible for me to set up the IMAP...

I would say jailbreak and unlock it so you can use it without a SIM and go from there.

That?s a .jpg but I also tried it with a .png with the same results. This is something I made myself, I haven't had such horrible compression on all the wallpapers I have downloaded though. Anything I'm doing wrong? 320x480 @ 180ppi

Yeah, the iPhone has had quite a bit of time for the developers to bake up all these apps. This being said, it doesn?t detract _at all_ from the fact that my iPhone has, and will continue to have, more apps than your Palm Pre for a good deal of time. Yes, fart apps suck, this is true. However...

The OS needs to be updated direly. It needs a better system of notifications; similar to the way the Pre does it and background apps. A new coat of gloss never hurts either.

Try a clearly well established App Store? Can't get that kind of variety in apps on any other cell phone platform. To me, that?s what makes the iPhone stand out.
