Yes I know the dilemma because said money can be spent on other things. For me the justification comes down to the screen size. I miss the smaller form factor, so I’m willing to sell my XR for an 11 Pro.

I’ve had my Air 2 for 2.5 years now and it still suits my needs but I’ve definitely noticed more lagging and stuttering since upgrading to iOS 11 even though the features still make it worth it in my opinion. I would like to upgrade to the 10.5 for a smoother UI experience.

I really miss that feature too, and I’m puzzled as to why Apple took it out since it seems the future of iOS is gesture based. But it’s not enough to downgrade back to ios11. I’m really enjoying the new features.
