I just got a new MacBook and I love it, but I have heard that a new OS is coming something called macOS Sierra. Does anyone know when Apple will release this?

When will macOS Sierra be available?

While it arrives for consumers in the fall, developers can get their hands on a beta today. Apple will also be releasing a consumer beta in July.

So you don't have to be link baited, Apple stated release will be this fall.

There's a difference between the public beta I'm assuming you're running and the developer beta that was released yesterday. You can expect to see a public beta in July.

It's available on Apple's Developer site, if you have access to it.

In my experience that hasn't always been the case between major releases. You might want to check the developer portal and download there.

It is, once you go to the Developer portal and request it. The link will open your Mac Store app and grant you access to it. https://developer.apple.com/download/

Only a day away from the official release of MacOS Sierra. Pretty excited here, since I didn't install the Beta version at all.

Hope the upgrade process for everyone goes well!

In North America, Apple often releases their OSs at 1000 hrs, Pacific Time on a Tuesday. Sept 20, this time around. Not sure if that translates to, say, 0200 hrs on Wednesday in Singapore, or whether they stagger their international release to fit the 1000 Tuesday local time.

Though sometimes, its at 1300 hrs Pacific....

Meanwhile, no sign of it at 1400 (EDT) in Updates, but bizarrely, its got a honkin' great banner and link to download in Featured. Go figure.
