I'm needing to free up space on my Macbook, how can I do this?

Im needing to free up space on my macbook

And wanting to permanently delete videos in my photo album but when i drag them to trash it won't delete. Can anyone help?

If you cannot get a portable drive like a passport to drag off what you want to remove, Will they stay in the trash but just delete? If so then go to the top left and go to preferences and select Empty trash can from that location
