Anyone use one?
I have an Anker 25Ah bank and it was able to keep the battery charged steady under normal use and reading with brightness < 30% it was actually gaining charge! This is using a USB to C cable plugged into a 2.1A (approx 10W) port. Not shabby at all. BTW this is on a 2016/MPB15TB/2.9/4GB460/2TBSSD model.
I would consider designing something with 2-300 Wh of lipo based power that could provide 90W on a capable USB-C cable but there are problems with this much power and travel restrictions.
The 18650 based banks are predominately designed to charge phones and tablets and have lower outputs and even worse their charge rates are so slow that the larger ones like the Anker one I have can take over a full day to charge on a typical 10W USB charger.
