Why? It's still a MacBook Pro. Same as the ones before that, all the way back to the first one. What's semi pro about the previous year's model?

Last year's model was alright, but this year's basic model is not. Problem is with ports available. Only 2 ports. Personally I think that it was not so clever move from Apple to put only USB-C ports in new mode, but put only 2 of them in basic model is even worse.

Concern over a lack of ports was part of the reason I went ahead and got the 2015 models when I updated this year. I knew some killer feature might be there but honestly the touch bar isn't that killer to me. I'd rather have the ports.
