I've spent almost an hour with the new MacBooks Pro during the event, so if you have any questions, ask away and I'll do my best to answer!

    Thank Rene!

What were you favorite uses for the Touch Bar?

Did you see or use any apps that used TouchID for authentication?

Do you know why the Escape key indented from the left? Is that indent a design choice or because the Touch Bar starts that far in?

How realistic is using the Touch Bar in typical day to day computing, i.e., office work, email, web browsing, educational research, etc.?

Does the layout of the keyboard seem and feel the same as the 2015 model(s)? Thanks in advance Rene...

How's the key movement on the keyboard? Do you think it will get the Andy Ihnatko seal of approval?

They sounded amazing. They played Adele in a quiet room for us and the separation and range really were best I've ever heard on a Mac.

I LOVED how timeline editing, and photo and browser thumbnails showed up.

No apps with Touch ID yet, alas.

That's where the Touch Bar starts. Balances Touch ID on the other side.

I don't know yet. I'll have to see if I can make it a habit. I use 3D Touch a lot now, so hopefully it's like that.

Feels like the 12-inch MacBook, but a little more travel.

How customized can the touch bar be? By this I mean are there limitations to the amount of buttons that can be added to it. Apps like Photoshop would be nice not to be limited. Another question, are all the keyboard shortcuts still available? Thanks!

Would you suggest the new standard MacBook Pro or the one with the touch bar? Is it worth the $300 extra?

It's "limited" by physical size, but it can scroll, so devs can do pretty much anything they can dream up and AppKit supports.

Keyboard shortcuts all still there, unless devs remove them, which they won't since everyone else still needs them

I don't know yet!!! Portability vs. power is such a hard choice sometimes!

    Which one should I get?

Sadly, no. It's embedded stainless steel now, like iPad or 12-inch MacBook.

For me it is. If you want a Retina MacBook Air, though, it may not be for you. More on that soon!

I'd go with portability on this one. The 13" will run Final Cut Pro without issue and you're on the road a lot.

That's what I'm wondering... not like you know exactly where keys are all the way up there, but if you can do it without looking. You lose the "touch" aspect of a key when it's software based like that. But I'm still excited about that feature although I already bought two MBP this year
