Default Is the logic board of a 2009 MBP worth repairing?

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.53GHz, Mid 2009) that the logic board is shot. I was told from a authorized reseller and service provider that it wasn't worth repairing and that they couldn't get the logic board for it anymore. Is there any truth to that statement? There is no warranty left on it. So I am wondering what would my options be? My macbook its in great shape still looks like new. This was the only issue we had with it. Thank You in advance for your help

"urgent help needed" is about the worst title you can make for a thread. It tells people nothing about your actual need.

That said, your best answer is google. Put the part you need into it and see how many places you can find the part. That will tell you how valid the claim is. It'll also be a lot faster to help with your "urgency."

Did you find a board? Yeah I'm late here, just catching up on this but, they do have the board you need on Amazon through third party resellers. I'm looking for a good price on a internal CD drive for my own MBP, which is the same model as yours. Here's the link to the Amazon page with the logic board you'll probably need. It's around 300 USD. Amazon.com: (661-5222) Logic Board 2.53GHz C2D (P8700) - Apple MacBook Pro 15" A1286 Mid 2009 (MC118): Computers & Accessories
