I am noticing a progress bar under the apple logo when I start up or restart the laptop. I bought It refurbished and immediately swapped out the 750gb hdd for a 500gb Samsung ssd. I downloaded Yosemite on an external hdd and replaced the hdd with ssd. I started the laptop from the external drive. I then downloaded and installed OS X Yosemite from the apple site using the ssd as the location. I did not install any partitions on the ssd but I erased it in the proper format. I am loading songs and pics and videos and everything is really fast. When I shutdown or startup or restart it is very very fast. Doesn't appear to be any problems I am just wondering if the progress bar is normal, it is there every startup.

Ok. I saw that in some other forums too, but was unclear wether or not that was the case. Any way my MacBook Pro with ssd is freakin FAST!!!
