I have a Mid-2012 MacBookPro and I?m replacing the HDD with a SSD. I?m also replacing the optical drive with the original HDD. I want to move the OS to the SSD but keep the Users folder on my HDD. I know how to point the User directory in Settings but I?m not sure how to just move the OS to the SSD.
I?m hoping someone can help me find the best way to accomplish the following:
1.) Just move the OS from my HDD to the SSD.
2.) While keeping my Users folder on the HDD.
It?s also important for me to note my the files on my HDD take up 600GB and the SSD I ordered is only 128GB. So I can?t just transfer EVERYTHING to the SSD and then move what I want to the HDD. I have to find another solution.
