Default Average "Other" space in 'About this Mac'

    Hi everyone,

I'm actually wondering how large is an average "Other" space shown in the "About this Mac" menu.
Mine is about 21GB. But I guess it includes my 9GB Virtual Machine. So is it around 12?

I didn't check unfortunately upon setting up my computer.

Moreover, I have an unknown 0.8GB of Photos, no idea where they come from. I have none! But well...

Other includes a local time machine backup for when a time machine drive is not available. It should go down after a backup. There's also a terminal command that can disable local time machine backups if you don't want them. A quick google search should find it. On a Mac that is the majority of your'Other'.
