    Default ho do i delete programs on my macbook pro?

    im new to mac's just wondering how do i delete programs that i downloaded on my mac.

    Dragging the app icon to the trash removes the program file, but leaves a lot of miscellaneous stuff on your system... stuff like the .plist files and any user data, etc.

    I use AppZapper... some apps come with an uninstaller, too.

    True, but for a Mac newbie dragging it to the trash is the easiest thing to do.

    "Easiest" is not necessarily "best".

    Ehh, the junk left behind doesn't really do any harm unlike stuff that gets left in a Windows registry. But I run AppTrap which asks me if I want to delete the other files whenever I drag a program to the trash.
