Should we buy the best MacBook Air or the MacBook Pro?

We are two 40 year olds who need a laptop for home, we rant computer savy, and do do much other than emails, images and basic movie type stuff, so not crazy designers or the like,
But on the other hand we like nice things,

It seems that both will fit your needs. I would recommend the Air since it's lightweight and cheaper than the Pro.
