How do you completely backup Photos library?

I have a large photo library with many albums, and i've been searching for some time how to back it up locally, as in no iCloud and I do not want to do a full Time Machine backup on some external drive. I basically want all of my photos backed up to a dvd-r, and I understand that the Photos app, like iPhoto before it, likes to totally blow everything around in some sort of database rather than keep photos in simple folder arrangements. So then, how do I completely backup my Photos database to a disc? From Finder, I thought about just dropping the "Photos Library" container onto a burn folder but if I did that, would I be able to import (if I needed to) to a different machine or fresh install?
