Ensuring photo cleanup in Photos.app is carried into iPhoto.app library
It's a weird question, but I never cleaned up my photo database when I switched from iPhoto to Photos. Well, I had a few spare days, and deleted about 5k photos from my library which I no longer needed. I deleted them from the Photos application, but the files and originals still exist in my iPhoto library when I choose to "show package contents." I recall that linking is used by Photos to not create a library which is double the size upon initial launch, but is there any way I can force the original iPhoto library to mimic those changes I had made in the Photos app?
