Does deleting an album in Photos app delete the pictures within that album?

First, move the picture out of the album and then delete the album.

The pics stay in the camera roll.

On my iPad, if I select delete a photo from within an album, it prompts me "Remove from Album?
If I do this, it also deletes it from All Photos.
Maybe a bug. I can't figure it out.

Sounds like it's just an option in case you want them removed from All Photos. Otherwise they stay.

On the iPad, there is no prompt to just delete. When you select a photo in an Album then hit the Trash Can, the only prompt is to Remove From Album.
And I stated above, when you Remove from Album, it removes fom a All Photos.
Confusing.
