Does anyone know any good app to edit photos?

I need to edit picture for my girlfriend. She wants all these nice picture with effects, colors, text, and hearts and girly stuff. She knows about this website (I can't remember the name) but I am sure there is an app in the app store perfect for this. Does anyone know any good app to edit photos?

I rarely edit-I need to sort and organize and find iPhoto clunky and difficult to navigate.
