Tmobile iPhone carrier update -- does it affect the jailbreak

Should I install the carrier update or will it break the jailbreak?

Carrier Settings updates do not change jailbreak.

Thanks. Installed the update, went well but it killed my tethering. Installed TetherMe and tethering is back! Now have a "4G" indicator instead of "3G." Hopefully it improves reception as well. Overall, successful and I'm happy!
