I have an iPhone 5 that is still running iOS 6.0.2 and is not jailbroken. Is there a way to upgrade to iOS 6.1.2 so I can jailbreak it?

If I'm not mistaking, you can download the 6.1.2 firmware, upgrade your phone with iTunes and jailbreak it with evasi0n. 6.1.3 firmware is not unlockable though

I think with the release of iOS 6.1.3, you are unable to upgrade to 6.1.2 thru regular methods with iTunes unless you saved your SHSH

SHSH blobs are useless for iPhone 4S/5, iPad 2/3/4 and iPod 5 at the moment. No word on if/when they will be of any use. There is no way for you to upgrade your 6.0.2 iPhone 5 to 6.1.2. Your best bet would be to jailbreak 6.0.2 (yes you can jailbreak 6.0.2) and try not to break it so you don't have to restore because if you restore, the only way to be successful will be with 6.1.3.

has Apple stopped signing 6.1.2 for sure? if not you can download the 6.1.2 ipsw file and point to it with the restore method in iTunes

time is not on your side
