Questions about Jailbreaking+unlock on my iPhone 3GS 6.1.2 BB 06.15.00

Greetings,

i have updated my phone to iOS 6.1.2 and i am currently stuck in the activation screen. I just need some help on what softwares to use to get past the Activation screen, Jailbreak my phone and do a carrier unlock.

Here's my idea.

1. use Sn0wbreeze 2.9.10 to hacktivate and create a custom firmware so i can install it with jailbreak.
2. go to cydia and add http://www.repo666.ultrasn0w.com to install an unlock.

now im not sure if this will work and i have been working with this for almost a week now. Can someone please help me by directing me to the right tools needed to Activate, Jailbreak and do a carrier unlock. any comment will be appreciated.

This is the easiest way to do it buddy. This isn't the greatest video however follow the written instructions in order.

Your baseband is already at 06.15.00, so you only have to select the downgrade baseband option.

The video will help to:

Unlock iPhone 3gs version 6.1.2 baseband 06.15.00
-Problem: network searching & stuck at activation mode after update to ios 6.1.2
-Tools = redsnow 0.9.15b3 & ipsw 6.0 for iPhone 3GS: http://theiphonewiki.com/wiki/Firmware
-if your baseband (Modem firmware ) 05.16.08 you must install ipad baseband 06.15.00 using redsnow
-after your baseband 06.15.00 , you must downgrade your baseband to 05.13.04
-need to boot tethered
-search cydia and install "evasion untethered 6.1.2" and add source "repo666.ultrasnow.com" then install ultrasnow for unlock your phone

Thanks ollie, ill try this one and give you a feedback as soon as i finish unlocking any idea on how to do it via sn0wbreeze? im more familiar with that software + i don't need to downgrade my baseband. i just don't know if it will work with 6.1.2 or ill get tons of error codes from itunes again

The Redsn0w way works buddy. I've seen it done. The reason you downgrade the ipad baseband is because the iPad baseband can interfere with reception and it messes up the GPRS. Redsn0w is very easy to use and its very reliable. You can do it your way. Then once jailbroken install Ultrasn0w. Good luck with it.
