Restoring from jailbroken backup

Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there any issue with this in a non-jailbroken device? Will the settings keep if you re-jailbreak?

If restoring from jailbreak to stock, you're better off setting up as a new device as back-ups from a jailbroken state can leave bits of random code in places that can make the phone flaky, and perform less optimally than setting up as new.
