Update error help

Can anyone offer any advice please,im trying to update an unjailbroken device and im getting

iphone cannot be restored unknown error -1

I have no idea why?

Your fine, and finished.
Use redsnow to kick it out of recovery and you will be on your brand new stock firmware

ok thanks,i will try that if it fails this current attempt. Error code is now sometimes 3014

ffs why did i try to upgrade :-(

get back to the method that gives you a -1 error

tried to kick out and it just goes back to recovery :-(

Well ive had both the errors i mentioned earlier and another message saying not eligible for build (or words to that effect) Ive just kept retrying and retrying and about the 1.000.000th time i tried it just worked.

I posted a book a while back about my restore issues, sometimes the iPhone is a finnicky lady! Congrats! The -1 error technically should have worked, but glad you got it sorted in the end
