Hey there, I've been trying to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS for the past couple of days, and I'm afraid I'm rather terrible at it... It's updated to IOS 6.0.1, and I was just wondering how on earth you can jailbreak it. Would anyone mind giving me a hand?

Okay. First you need to download the correct 6.0 ipsw for your 3GS and the latest version of redsn0w. Next open redsn0w, then go to extras->select ipsw. Now go to the main screen of redsn0w and hit jailbreak.

If you are old bootrom that is all you must do, since it is untethered. If new bootrom you must repeat the first step (selecting the ipsw) and then boot tethered.

Note that redsn0w does not fully support 6.0.1 so this may not work for you.
