Hello folks.

I'm looking for confirmation and or steps to JB first time on the above phone

I've looked everywhere and found the following:


5.1 needs to be upgraded first to 5.1.1

I found this: iPhone4,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore.ipsw

Is this the correct file to do so?

If so, I should use TinyUmbrella to save the blobs?

Then backup the phone to iTunes

Use Absinthe 2.0.4 to JB

Restore content from iTunes to phone?

Voila?!


Are these the correct steps or am I missing something? Your help is appreciated!

Also have a 4S with 5.1.1 already.

4s on 5.1.1 is good to go, just get absinthe and you'll be jailbroken in 5 minutes.
The 4s on 5.1 is out of luck. You need to be on 5.1.1 already, unfortunately there is no way to get that phone to 5.1.1 since apple is no longer signing the firmware
