Default iPhone 3GS Screen not lighting up

    Hi Guys'

My friends 3GS's phone and screen are working fine, however it's like the light isn't working at all, so I'm assuming a bulb needs changing somewhere.

Anyone attempted this? Or shall I take it to a shop.

    Thanks.

There is no bulb that needs to be replaced, but it very well could be the 6r8 coil. If you plan to do this yourself then you better have some good soldering abilities. You could also send it to us for repair. That usually only needs repaired after water damage though, but I have seen stranger things.
