I LOVE this theme, just sayin... Had it for 4 days now...
Im going to post up all my "fixes" for this theme right here. because there are some things that i simply dont like....
Resizes the send buttons so that when you get to a second row of text there isn't an unseemly edge in your box, it also replaces the "liquid" photo, for when you have contact pics set up and no picture for a contact. it replaces it with a stock silhouette.

Default contact pic (when there is no contact pic present)

also the winterboard theme is mostly redundant, all you need in the winterboard theme is the "recents-bg@2x.png"
you need to place these files into their appropriate locations, using ifunbox, ssh or ifile.
var/mobile/library/bitethemes/biteliquid/chatkit is the location for the chat bubbles and overwrite the images and youll be good to goLast edited by 3cit; 02-12-2013 at 03:15 PM.

The first release was weak because he implemented the "bg" images poorly, but the latest release is ALMOST perfect... He need to resize the drop down text shade to be flush with the popup box... IMHO

Yep, I held off until v2.0 was released. The first two were really not ready for release in my opinion--they were way too hacky in their method of theming. But now it's quite nice and implemented in the regular, biteSMS-approved way.
I do wish that he used screenshots that showed the app without the additional theming--the biteLiquid theme doesn't come with the keyboard or system themes, only the biteSMS parts, and that has seemed to confuse some people. (I know I do the same thing in my images--but I'm not the developer, either.) But he does at least mention what people will need, so I guess it's not so bad.
All in all, I think this is the nicest bite theme out there right now. - 09-03-2012, 11:09 PM #9
Been using this theme since release. Awesome.

Im fixing the bugs for the developer...

so....
wamadden, lets start with the basics... do you have bitesms?
Is it on 6.3?
if yes, then simply open up the bitesms application, go to the setting page, then go to the themes page, the tap the biteLiquid bar, then tap the apply theme.Last edited by 3cit; 09-05-2012 at 02:36 PM.

You don't need to activate it in winterboard anymore since he has it working completely within bites own "sandbox", but it probably doesn't hurt to have it enabled in winterboard too... And
No, it's just a bite theme and a qr/qc theme - 09-06-2012, 01:34 PM #22
Hey I just downloaded you, and this is crazy, but heres another "bug", so fix it maybe??
So when typing a message, if you go to a "second line" the box is not flush with the "send" button... Call me picky, but I don't think it should be this way...
I'm gonna fix it, because to me that's easier than emailing the developer - 09-06-2012, 09:14 PM

Can you show me an example of what you mean?
This was made skinnier due to the fact that the message bubbles were too far away from the border to sit flush like it does inside the messaging app. It would bother me if the flat edge was floating within the drop down, but would bother me more if they were different from the bubbles inside the app. So to me this was the only option for my personal taste. I don't think it was all that bad. I kind of like the different feel it has.
Plus i just love the edgeless bubbles. Looks so clean to me. (:
Thanks for the kind words guys. - 09-06-2012, 11:09 PM #24
Here's the Send button issue described above:

I don't mind the pull down size, for what it's worth—seems natural to me either way. - 09-07-2012, 12:09 AM #25
Not bad. Might give it try though I'm diggin' ayecon right now.
