Jailbreak tweak to bypass iOS restriction?

I recently purchased an Apple AV digital adapter and when I connect it to my tv, a lovely error message pops up saying that the accessory is not supported and that it requires an iOS update. I'm jailbroken and I really do not want to go thru the hassle of updating and re-jailbraking. So my question is: is there a Cydia jailbreak tweak that will allow me to bypass the iOS restriction?

xCon works for iPhones not sure about Apple TV.

xCon is more for apps that are prevented from working in a jb device. If you need to update your iOS version to be compatible, tweaks usually won't help?generally you'll need to update. But now is a great time to update, while there's an untethered jb available before iOS 6 is released.

I'd say go for it!
