Will it unlock?

Hi

New to JB and unlocking. Have successfully jailbreaked my iPhone 4 IOS 5.1.1 baseband 04.12.01 and have been trying to unlock. However all the information I have found tells me I can not unlock this baseband. Please can someone confirm if this is still the case or is that info out of date?

Ultrasn0w can't unlock that baseband, and you're out of luck because Gevey Sims can't unlock that baseband either.

As I always try to mention...if it's an out-of-contract AT&T iphone, they will provide an unlock for you free of charge. (Just did mine a week ago.) See here:

It is the case, but since I'm not an AT&T client or know the old number I cannot ask for the unlock

Hi,
You can unlock your iPhone 4 by remote unlocking method!! Many online sites provide this unlocking service.Personally, i would prefer . I unlocked my iPhone 4 here, they offered good unlocking service!!
