Blobs are device specific so that will not work.

well assuming pod2g is still going to release his jailbreak tool i would maybe wait it out for a little bit. at least as he has not mentioned anything about not releasing on his twitter or blog..

in fact look at this poll he recently did asking if he should continue working on a jailbreak for 5.1

pod2g's iOS blog: i would say that people do want it released won by a landslide!
